Downtown Glendale Residency #2 - Carnival of the Animals

This interactive and energetic concert at the Velma Teague Public Library utilizes Camille Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals and the companion poetry by Ogden Nash to help kids learn about the different instruments of a reed quintet and how their different sounds are utilized. Following Carnival of the Animals will be a performance of Paul Dukas’ Sorcerer’s Apprentice as made famous by the Disney film, Fantasia.

This event is free and open to the public.

This children's concert is the second of three performances in the Driftwood Quintet Downtown Glendale Residency. More info about the this and the final residency performance on May 21st can be found atdriftwoodquintet.com/downtown-glendale-residency.

This project is funded by the City of Glendale's Centerline Arts and Cultural Initiative.
