Live at the Library: A Dream Deferred

  • Glendale Main Public Library 5959 West Brown Street Glendale, AZ, 85302 United States (map)

Driftwood Quintet celebrates black history month this year by inviting you to ask “What Happens to A  Dream Deferred?” This concert will explore how different African American composers have used music to remember the past, celebrate the present, and imagine what futures could be. Pieces on this program include those from Pulitzer Prize winning composer George Walker, Harlem Renaissance era composer Florence Price, and a jazz-infused work by Jeff Scott featuring poetry by Marsha Music.

Bring the family and come enjoy the show!

This concert is funded by a City of Glendale Performing Arts Grant.

All events at the Glendale Public Library are public, and participants may be photographed by the media and/or City staff for future print and/or online publication.
